Silen brings silence to Manhattan
Manufacturer of soundproof booths Silen has a foot in the door in New York: it is now represented in the showroom of Gibson Interior Products, which provides contract office furniture to major US clients.
The Estonian maker of soundproof phone and meeting pods is currently represented in nearly 40 countries and is already providing quiet spaces for clients like Airbus, Coca-Cola, Lego and Spotify. According to co-founder and CEO Endrus Arge, securing representation in New York is essential for the company. “In the world of interior design, especially in the modular office furniture sector, we have managed to establish a great reputation for the quality of our products. However, alongside the trust and recommendations we have earned, the customer still needs to see, feel and test the product for themselves and experience the efficiency of the sound barrier and ventilation. After all, your own ear is king. This is why we’re so happy to be represented at Gibson.”
Gibson Interior Products is a fourth-generation family-owned company representing some of the world’s best-known furniture manufacturers. Their 12,000 square foot showroom in the heart of the Flatiron district provides a one-stop-shop solution for furniture needs within all verticals: commercial, hospitality, education and healthcare. Showcased alongside the best the industry has to offer will be Silen’s Silen Space and CHATBOX by Silen product lines spanning from single-seater pods to quiet meeting spaces for up to 8 people.
The new partnership between Silen and Gibson was formed at NeoCon, one of the world’s largest and most important industry events. It is a win-win situation as the deal is expected to boost sales in North America for Silen as Gibson is a household name among local architects, interior designers, design studios and distributors. For Gibson, offering Silen’s products to their customer base was a natural move as there’s rising demand for workspace pods globally.
